Our ICT clubs are enjoyed by the whole of Key Stage Two. This school year the clubs are being run on a Wednesday after school and on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday lunchtime by Mrs Quarmby.
As members of the ICT clubs the children participate in Superclubs for which they create their own homepage, adding text, graphics, sounds, games etc. They can win 'safety' stars by following instructions, answering questions and completing tasks set by Superclub and can email each other and pupils from other schools within a safe and strictly moderated environment.
Last year our ICT clubbers were particularly successful in Superclubs. Many earned all of their safety stars and took part in RSPCA surveys and advent calendar hunts. They also produced superb homepages with lots of animations, surveys, information and music.
Superclubs now has members from all around the world and it is our intention to investigate the possibility of 'talking' to and emailing children in different countries. We hope to be able to exchange information about the way we live, our school lives, environment etc. We shall begin this in the next few weeks.
A new project for the new year will be to take part in Webquests. For this the children will choose a partner or small group to work in and then decide which project they wish to take part in. It looks like it will be great fun and very challenging.

The club members also have access to the digital cameras on a regular basis, downloading and editing their own work.
We do sometimes have different themes for the clubs for example Red Nose Day, Children in need, Sport Relief, Comic Relief and our various events around school. The children also make posters and programmes for the Christmas Concerts.
